A bunch of our friends got together last night to celebrate New Year's Eve, watch the ball drop, yada yada yada.
Steaks and salmon on the grill, roast potatoes, veggies, tons of appetizers, and apple pie and ice cream for desert.
Anyway, the homeowner was channel surfing and we ended up watching the Peach Bowl (Ohio State v Georgia) football game. It ran 'til midnight. So we didn't watch any of the idiotic talking heads at Times Square, nor any "entertainers" I've never heard of... it was great. And yes, @histed, 'Dawgs won.

We meant to stay up and watch the fox and friends new years eve show but we fell asleep.

We ate, watched movies, made it ti midnight barely. After company left I promptly fell asleep in my desk chair(computer gamers chair that reclines...) woke up cold at 4:30AM and crawled into bed.

In bed by 10. My wife had to work today. We usually don't stay up anymore to watch the ball drop. We did go to church yesterday evening. then we had dinner at Red Lobster. Awesome!

I went to bed as usual, woke up to pee, noticed it was 11:58. Went into the living room to watch the ball drop with my daughter and grandkids. Went back to bed. First time I saw the ball drop in 3 years. Don’t think I have been missing much.

Since we are people of the night. We ate supper at 10:30. At midnight we had a glass of mead then watched TV till 6Am. Over slept today we got up a 430pm. Happy new year

I learned long ago to keep the same schedule. That way you don't have to go through jet lag every week. When I worked swing shifts for 20 years I was killing myself trying to have a normal life outside the job.

They tried to get us to go to a rotating shift at the casino. 1 guy wanted it. Rest of the crew said they would quit before doing it.
