@SWAGA and @TNTRAILERTRASH
Just found this article.
https://www.stripes.com/news/us/sub...ke-labels-government-says-in-lawsuit-1.546535

Basically, Tactical Products Group Inc, out of Florida sold lower quality body armor plates to contractors to save money.

T.P.G.I. ; same first initials as the company Tactical Products Group Inc.

This plate came from Florida
And.. the label is way wonky. According to the NIJ, the 0101.04 Standard is obsolete and no longer maintained, not since NIJ0101.06 came into existence. Also note, nowhere on the label does it say "Made in the U.S.A.";
On ebay, it is advertised as "meeting NIJ0101.06 For Level III" :rolleyes:

At least I didn't order two :rolleyes:

On the other hand.. these were weird, but apparently are legit UK armor plates from all the research I could find on them. They're meant to be worn with NIJ 3A soft armor (or UK HG2 rated ballistic jacket) NIJ0101.04 III+/ SS109/ UK RF1 (the last two refers to M855a1 and 7.62x51 M80 respectively) .
Edit. LBA International is a part of Safariland Group Ltd in UK.
