I wouldn't call them free sbr's. You still bought the pistol and you still bought the brace.
I just saw a clip on the news- there was definitely an ar15- didn't see what make- I should have paused it. I saw the sub2k. I didn't see what the handgun was. It was a blip of footage showing her stuff all laid out.Saw the video this morning. The AR/AK she had was a Sub2000. Couldn't make out if she was carrying an AR pistol.
Choco chip Joe said it was an AK
The school did good and the responding officers did good. Doors were locked, she had to shoot her way in, which alerted school staff and they had everyone hunkered down and police called pretty quick. I heard she was put down 14 minutes from the time of the call. The only thing the school really lacked was a resource officer on the door. She apparently chose a different target originally but they had a security officer, so she opted for this school instead. It could have been so much worse. I am very curious to see this manifesto. They need to just release it and let the public decide how we feel- but no, they've got to get together and decide how they're going to spin it first. Here the chief of police kept calling her a her. This isn't the national news. Probably by tonight they will. She sent a message on Instagram to her best friend she was on her way to die. Her friend called and got put on hold. Why she called the sheriffs. No idea. The sheriff's department showed up at the shooter's house 4 hours later. Looks like another failure of law enforcement.
Not to mention the vast numbers of passed down family guns.....That's why I said a "minimum". Here's the article Commonly Owned: NSSF Announces Over 24 Million MSRs in Circulation.
Edit. I don't think they account for the sheer number of stripped lowers sold as "other", or for the vast number of complete uppers as the uppers do not have serials so far; and then like I said, doesn't account for "pistol" configured ARs/AKs, or 80% lowers completed and assembled into rifles.
