Bushman Part Search

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by satch001, Mar 25, 2015.

  1. Does anyone remember a part Bushman used to make that held the front of the barrel shroud (heat shield) in place on a 995 classic if the front sight post had been removed? It was a little ring IIRC,held in place with a set screw.

I know He is out of business now , but thought someone may know of another source for this part, or maybe even have one
    they would part with.

    Please let me know . . .

    Thanks and Regards,

Looks like its just a piece of aluminum sized to slip over the barrel. Why not mike you barrel and see if a local machine shop would make one for you? Know any teenage boys in metal shop?

Machine shops in my AO do oil field and coal mine work. It'd be $90 to even START making the piece.:(

The good news is...a Dremel and a tap would allow one to DIY that bit.

But...that would still cost $50 or so, if you don't already have the tools.

I have several Bushman Shorks, he made good stuff.

    Good luck finding the part!:)

Why not just cut down a front sight?

  5. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I think I have found someone local to help me out with fabricating the part
    properly.
