Where do any of you buy silver? There is a local shop called Scotsman Coin and Jewelry that has good prices, but the premium on junk silver is high everywhere I look. Any suggestions?

Some great sales going on in Ferguson right now, they're having thier yearly 100% off sale.

Bite the bullet, buy now! Premiums are just going to rise, I'm pretty sure.
About the only thing that is not a high premium is the generic rounds.
Those are best for after the crash, and when things start to normalize...
But for the short term, "junk silver" and govt. issued coin is more recognizable
and acceptable in an SHTF or TEOTWAWKI scenario. Some generic rounds are
under $1 premiums per ounce. Check sdbullion.com or look up Montana Rarities, who takes paypal.
You can get a paypal credit account and use it at Montana...

Rumor has it you don't need silver bullets to take out zombies. I also saw the movie too. Mostly head shots :rofl:

Scotsman is right there with them or even has them beat on price. Since you and I talked last, I've been concentrating on SE's. Was looking at junk silver and 14+/1 dollar seems high. Maybe it isn't, but seems like it.

I read an article about buying nickels minted before 1982 because their silver and copper levels were high enough for 'harvesting' in a shtf/teotwawki scenario.

Not advocating, just mentioned it in passing.

Buy tons of precious metals now. Then when the Apocalypse happens you'll have the prettiest ammo on the block.

If the SHTF, paper money isn't going to be worth much after some time has passed. I have ventured into silver and gold but always seem to buy at the wrong time. Oh well, without my meds, I won't last long anyway.

are 2 good dealers online. Local pawns are a source at times, try end of the month when they need to make payroll and pay bills. Craigslist is okay for 90% dimes and quarters, rest has to big of a chance of being a fake. Only make the deal in a public area, fast food places are good. Sit at a visible table.
