I'd been curious to try out my new C9 but hadn't had the chance. These past few weeks I finally got a chance and something strange has been happening. Sometimes the gun only works if I only load 4 rounds into the magazine. If I load 6 or more the gun nosedives or doible feeds nearly every other round. However, other times I can shoot strings of fully loaded mags without a hitch. Funny thing is the 3 magazines that I've shoot full of hollow points have also gone without a hitch. So I'm kind of curious because I've taken it with me about 6 times over these oast few weeks and sometimes it works flawless while the next day it jams every other round and the next it works flawlessly. Sometimes, on the same day, it works flawlessly and then jams suddenly and doesn't fix itself, or vice versa. Anyone having similar issues?

The spring of the magazine needs broken in just like the gun itself. Everything about it is new with how things wear together to work properly.

Something also with the C9 is sometimes the magazine lips will need a tiny bit of tweaking to feed the ammo correctly with how the bullet is riding when the slide comes back to extract a new round.

Give it some time and keep firing away, use plenty of oil to help with the breakin for about 200 rounds.

One trick to help with the magazine is load up the mags and let sit for a while to help loosen up the spring's tension and when loaded, smack the back spline of the magazine against the palm of your hand to be sure the bullets are seated to the rear and nose is riding up.

Ya gotta give the gun at least 2-300 rounds, then if problems still persist, come back and let us know. We got knowledgable folks here to help in any way. Also, MOM(Hi-point) is just a phone call away with their free help in trying to solve any problems.

Delbert's advice is spot on. Smacking the back spline of the magazine to make certain the bullets as correctly positioned will make a huge difference.

Personally, I wouldn't try tweaking the magazine lips until I'd exhausted all other possible remedies.
