Just picked mine up. Amazed and disappointed to discover that the manufacturer has known about this flaw for about 10 years and their reply to their customers is "don't worry it's safe".
Well congratuxxxxxxxlations, you folks at HiPoint must be so proud of your fine craftsmanship.
Any body wanna buy a used C9 cheap, never shot, just rattled.

Dude…that’s a feature!🤣

It’s the drop safety. It’s normal. Take it out and shoot it, for cripes sake.
He just came here to bitch.

You do realize you bought a Hi-Point? Did you bother doing any research on the thing before buying it?

The things are reliable and accurate, but giving up some build quality and accepting design compromises, are a part of the game at the price point.

It's a Hi-Point C9, not a Staccato C2. I'll second what @Tu_S said, did you bother researching before buying?

Give you $80 shipped to my FFL.

As in "The HiPoint C9 features an annoying Rattle, a feature not offered by other handgun manufacturers" ...your parents must be so proud.

....any way I finally got someone who matters at HiPoint to call me, that's the only reason I wrote on the forum.

Any one who thinks the rattle is normal or a feature, and it's ok to disclose it in the owners manual after purchase is a tool.

So you don’t recognize humor, either. I think I see the problem….

Did you not handle it at the store? Oh, wait. Did you order the gun online, without ever handling it?

You know….there IS a way to make it stop rattling. Pretty sure you would screw it up and hurt yourself…so yeah, just sell it. Taurus makes a decent gun at the $200 price level, so does Ruger in a smaller form factor. Maybe you should look at those guns.

He's a Kyle. I had to remove another post if his that was a cross post of his original post here, then I had to delete another temper tantrum in the form of a "For Sale" thread about it. The fact that he's sitting here acting like HP owes him the time of day because he didn't do any research just proves that some people do indeed perpetuate the air of stereotypical privilege.

He's one of those "Perfection" or "what all guns should be" cunt of a snobs....

Edit: Make that 5 threads. He's really done now...;)

I’m not telling him how to do it.
I don't need to read the new rules to know that doing so would violate them.

He STILL hasn’t even bothered taking the gun out of his mama’s basement to go shoot it. This one isn’t worth it.
He's probably afraid his victims will hear him coming with his mail order gun.

Note to Admin: I was posting this to his other thread just as it was removed. Hated to see it wasted, so it's here now.

3 things I don't like about the C9, or any of their other pistols for that matter.
Disassembly... nothing I can do about it

Magazine disconnect...gotta keep better shot count

Crappy triggers... well they ain't Kimbers, Brownings, Rugers, High Standards, or Colts, just gotta get use to them.

I got what I paid for, I'll get use to them.

Nobody to really complain to, I was the one who went cheap

I'd add "mag capacity" to your list.

If the disconnect really troubles you, consider a Model C which has no mag disconnect (which I prefer). The trigger on my Model C has really smoothed out over time, probably because it sees the most range time. It's far better than any of my other Hi-Points. But oh my gosh it does rattle, LOL

Mag capacity doesn't bother me, I'm use to shooting T\C Contenders

If you bought a HP, expecting a Glock, you probably bitch about Golden Corral steaks being tough...Love the HP guns for what they are, or spend twice their MSRP for a slightly better cheap gun.

Rural King has a sale going on with a couple Taurus pistols on sale for either 179.99, or 199.99, and here in WV there is no sales tax on guns or ammo.

The G2C and the G3C, ims. I absolutely hate those triggers. And I'm not a trigger snob. I'm OK with the DAO triggers on most of the old Kel Tecs and the Taurus TCP. I'm OK with the trigger on Hi Points. I'm OK with most triggers. But the triggers on the G-whatever series, I hate.

Peace favor your sword,
Kirk

Of course it's a feature!

You paid Top Dollar for a genuine made in the United States firearm!

Now go shoot the shyt out of it!

I bought a used C9 for about $100, put over 6,000 rounds of 115 grn 9mm ball ammo through it, gifted it to a friend of mine who practiced with it enough to gain his concealed carry permit with it.

I replaced it with a JHP - love it dearly!
