I just picked up a C9 and put the peep sight on right out of the box...it took me about 4 clips before I hit paper at 15 - 20 yards and a couple more clips to get a grouping. So the second box went well with 4" to 6" groupings at 15 yards. Is this decent or do I need to set my goals higher?

I don't shoot very fast. Especially with a new gun that I need to familiarize myself with.
I did try a couple double taps and had ok results...nothing I would call satisfactory. Just putting both on paper is an achievement in my eyes. I buy the Blazer ammo at Scheels...$10 for 50 I'm just gonna buy a case next time I'm there.
Buying single boxes is gonna get annoying. From what I was told Hi-Point reccomends Blazer. If anyone can verify or correct me, please do.

Have never heard of issues with Blazer Brass or Aluminum, and that price is right, only ever heard of Wally World being less, and they are hard to find in stock in my area! I know some have said the techs say don't use Winchester White box, but many of the folks on the forums have had no issues at all, including me. Have also heard that a tech said avoid Wolf and other steel cased stuff; but again I use it with no issues.

Do keep practicing, you will only get better. Practice with both, one hand & off-hand. Get the feel for the trigger & the recoil of your weapons(s).
A 4-6" group at 15 yards is very good with slow fire but you can do better with practice.

Personally, keeping and holding 3 or so inch groups at 15 yards should not be a problem for most people for almost any gun. This is not rapid fire, I am talking about slow, aimed fire.

For me, the 3 dot works alot better than the ghost ring. My Taurus has 3 dot so i'm used to it.

Most people, can't hit the paper at 10 yards with a handgun. Most people don't know how to shoot a handgun. Now, teach them, and they can hit the paper.
I don't know who you hang out with, but I was one of about 6 people in my division at basic that could come close to a 3in group at 15 yards when we first started shooting. A 3 inch group with a handgun is decent shooting, and most people aren't decent shots. Thats why I feel confident if I ever get in a situation where some guy has a gun on me, he probably won't be able to hit me unless its with a lucky shot.

Keep practicing and pay attention to the fundamentals.
I prefer the Ghost Ring sight on my personal C9. I can shoot pretty decent groups out to 50 yards with that without spending too much time getting the sights on target.
It's what works best for you. ^-^
