So I have an old Iberia 40 pistol with a 4 digit serial number looking like it had never been shot except for the 100 rounds I've put thru it. Everything works as it should but considering it's age and the model iterations that have come out since it was made, I thought I'd get a few spare parts for it just in case.
I acquired spare mags for it at the gun show this past weekend. Yesterday I called the Iberia factory and talked to a nice gentleman who seemed to know all about my pistol. He's sending me a spare firing pin and spring, bottom mag release button and an instruction manual sheet for my particular gun. He spent quite a bit of time telling me about the potential differences in the parts I will receive vs what I have and how to assemble and make it all work.
A very nice conversation and of course it was all free!

I'm surprised they still have mag releases. Your new firing pin and spring are JCP parts.

I have a jc40, only HP Ive ever had.
Yes They are forever out of some parts, some they have.
A bit pricey having to ship thru ones FFL now, according to Them when I discussed issues with mine.. Just working on it myself,
May just be that Division, re the FFL thing. Could be a trend. The Feds are always on the FfL people,
.
Good Luck!

Good luck with your jc40 project. Maybe find a donor pistol for next to nothing somewhere. Or roll the dice and send yours in thru an FFL and maybe get a new pistol in return. Would be cheaper than going out and buying one retail.

Don't mind that knucklehead. He's taking UPS's new policy of refusing to accept firearm shipments from non-licensed individuals and trying to say that hi point will refuse to accept warranty work firearms unless an FFL sends it to them. When we tried to point out a few of his obvious missteps he acted like a child and put several of us on ignore/block after trying to insult us by calling us trolls in a thread he started. He blocked me because I asked him why he didn't know what a compensator was after he boasted about having almost 60 years of expertise, his words, with firearms.

So he literally cannot see over 50% of the Daily forum activity because he will block anyone who points out his mistakes or questions his expertise.

That's why my JC's not functioning properly. It's missing the broken nail. I better give them a call while they're still in stock.

Haha! I am wondering about that nail!
Maybe I can see if there's a YouTube that explains the nail!:D
Really? I figured it was just what you used to open the package

I received the two small sealed packets, one for the firing pin assembly and one for the magazine release assembly
The nail WAS INCLUDED in the sealed little package for the magazine release assembly. No idea what its' purpose is or maybe it's a funny joke by the packer? Could it be used for some sort of guide pin? Not going to mess around with it until something breaks on the pistol and then have to figure it out.
