Just got a HBLB here. My most recent EX works there.

I was looking at those, too, and posted the site address on another thread, here, earlier, after I had originally found out about it from a KSG thread on another forum. I am going to get one of those pads. They look very promising. If you read about the Sorbathane that they use, It seems to have some very interesting properties that make It absorb shock very efficiently. They should make for very comfortable shooting.

I like them - not too 'shiny' - east to trim - and comfortable. Mostly, I like the company and products... over all good to work with...

PS -- do real men shop at HBLB? ;)

They have a bunch of over priced motorhead car plaques and signs for the man cave. Never bought any of them. Ex wife gets a discount. If I have extra money it ain't going for that crap. I'll hang a hubcap on the wall.

Here is another option for the slap. I've shot over a 1k rounds with my 995ts without one slap. So I don't know if its the weapon or the way I place my cheek on the stock???

The 9's aren't bad. The .40, and .45 jump more.

I got cheek slap on the 995ts I had but I don't get spanked by my 995 classic.

I do know the recoil springs in the 9's actually function.

  14. Yeah. I think they make the gun move more though.
I'd bet the gun moves as much as my 30-30 when I pull the trigger.

Never have a problem with cheek slap on my 995TS.

I run a red dot sight mounted on a standard AR style high rise picatinny mount.

If I was shooting forward my cheek wouldn't even touch the rifle. At the distance I shoot cheek weld isn't needed.

Most of my shots are with the carbine restin' on my left shoulder facing behind me, I use a mirror to see the sight.

Do you shoot coins out of the air, too?:p

Usually just Cheerios, much cheaper than coins.

On a more serious note, I don't get the cheek slap with a riser under the red dot. Works fine cuz I rarely shoot beyond 50 yards.

  18. Those are in nice ideas. I have a beard and it does get pretty old but I just ran a piece of black duct tape over the gap never bothered me again.
