Oh-no effect? Disbelief?
First lethal force encounter?
Who knows.
Point being concealed carry is not the fix-it-all magic solution that a lot of people ( even here) believe it to be.
Quite an eye opening that you see a real life version of the drill with a participant who is open carrying even.

Gotta wonder if recreational pharmaceuticals were involved. And you're right, Swagz - there is no "Magic solution" for any given situation. Did you try to count the number of shots fired? Even handguns don't work every time. Surprises a lot of people that the bad guy doesn't just fall down after the first shot. It ain't TV or video games.

Start binge watching "Donut Operator" and see crazy people who get tazed, pepper sprayed and thumped that are still capable of doing great harm to others around them.

I was in a bar in Naples once. (well maybe more than once) drunk passed out on the bar. Cops came to encourage him to ride with them to his house after refusing a free cab ride. A scuffle ensued, they pepper sprayed him. Got the bartender in the face with the spray. Everyone else got gassed. He was fighting 2 big deputies and winning.

Watching the Portland riots I saw a guy get glazed twice with some sort of chemical agent. Orange looking stuff all over his face and torso. He walked away and eventually got arrested.

Many of these people are animals. It ain't their first rodeo. They're pretty hard core. Got to step it up one level above what is there in order to save your own ass.

You will learn these things and more at the LEO academy.

Donut Operator, watch his stuff.

You missed my emphasis a little.
Which was the resemblance to the Tueller drill.

If the officers NOT holding a Taser had used their guns once he shrugged off the taser and headed for the Sgt, no Tueller drill would have been required.

Just saying. They exercised a CRAP ton of restraint (or failed to react properly in a timely manner with appropriate force) so they let him get up, then they let her get stabbed twice, and that's twice too many, IMHO.

Thank goodness she had a decent vest, and the guy didn't stab or slash her face or neck, or under the vest...she was froze the freak up, she had NOTHING left but panic, and he could have killed her right there.

Other people may not like this but I am glad the guy with the knife is dead. Stab people with knives and earn your prize. If you would stab police officers you will very likely stab regular citizens as well.
