Hey Question when you guya clean your C-9's do you clean and oil the mags? If so how?

I gently remove the bottom of the mag and remove the spring and follower [carefully watch how they come out] clean oil the inside as well as spring and follower and reinstall spring and follower back in the way they came out and replace bottom of mag all done.

Mine get cleaned after 1000 rounds, about twice a year.

I have a lot of mags so if I shoot 500 rounds each mag will see 50 to 70 rounds.

I don't break my magazines down very often because with the plastic bottom you can wear out the little notches that hold it in place. It really depends how much I shoot and how dirty the ammo is. Maybe four times a year I take them apart, the rest of the time I wipe them clean then apply some 3in1 oil.

I only break em down once a year [usually around November before winter when I was working armed security].
