Our training unit at my agency uses tube ore snake on our duty and training pistols. That got me interested enough I purchased one for every caliber I currently own.

    Dragging up an old topic.

I was cleaning one of my rifles the other day and noticed the bronze(?) bore brush I was using is worn out, and so are most of the others I have. So I jotted down what calibers I have:

    22
    223
    30
    32
    38
    380
    45
    6.5mm (.26")
    7.62mm (.30")
    7.92mm (.31")
    9mm (.35")

I haven't seen any bore brushes for strictly mm sizes so I guess I need to get the ones in inches that are close to the mm I need.

So, I figure I need 22, 30, 32, 38, and 45. Seems like those 5 would cover everything, or can I get away with even less and just buy 3-4 of each size I really need? I have a couple of bore snakes, 22 and 30 cal. Seems as if every time I go looking for other sizes they're OOS.

Yes, many overlap. 30/32/8mm, 38/380/9mm, and a few others.

    But....Really? No metrics?

Didn't say there weren't any, just that I haven't been able to put my hands on any.

I think I’m still a little gun shy about ordering from Amazon, but I have ordered a couple of Christmas gifts from them with no problems.

Actually, everything’s been fine the past 2 weeks with UPS, FedEx, and USPS, as well as Amazon.
