I’ll be dabbling in the shotshell reloading world in the near future. Got a new MEC 600 Jr. Mark 5 and room for it on my bench.

You will like the MEC 600, . I have 3, one in 410, 20 ga, and 12 ga.

MEC makes a conversion kit you need to load brass shells though. RCBS makes their Cowboy Dies in 12 gauge, that’s what I went with for the brass shells.

Also brass shells are thin walled, Ballistic Products makes 11 ga wads and cards for them.

Im gonna have to start also. Since the father in law keeps giving me stuff. I would just do 410 and 12 ga. I have 20 ga but I really don't ever shoot them.

RCBS sent an email about the Cowboy die. Back in stock, about a hundo. Ordered one.

I’ve not had much to report on this addition to the press arsenal. Lack of components and hardware makes it nearly impossible to do anything but stare at an idle shotshell press.

BPI will be shipping hulls and shot.
MEC has shipped the short shell kit
RCBS has shipped the Cowboy dies.
Precision Reloading had the wads
Over shot cards are ordered.

I reckon that I might look for some different shotgun powder.

I load my own shotshells too, no brass hulls though. I have a Lee Loadall 2 I got several years ago. I recently bought a 000 buck shot mold and I'm getting a good stash of pellets before I start putting them together.
