Happens all the time. Target may just agree to let it happen as free advertising because costco goes minimalist on its own advertising so why pay more for costco branded trucks?

My wife and I were at Costco today, and ran into a woman loudly complaining that these ammo cans were MADE IN CHINA!!!!! or she would have bought them!
It looks like you can pay yer dollar and take yer chances and get what you need or don't.

I need some shots of my "cans" :D

Rach, what do they call those big white cases I have some
of my ammo in? Jarhead speak, and/or official terminology?

Since about 50% percent of all the steel made in the world these days is made in China...chances are good anything made with steel, is made there.

Production in millions of metric tons in 2014:

    1 China People's Republic of China 822.70
    NA European Union 169.30
    2 Japan 110.67
    3 US (we only did 58.2 in 2009) 88.17
    4 India 87.29
    5 South Korea 71.54
    6 Russia 71.46
    7 Germany (25% of the EU's production) 42.94

I bought a stack of ammo cans from Costco, first at Lakewood CA then at Chino CA. Depending on location Costco inventory differs. I did not find the ammo cans in Irvine but the Chino store had a huge gun safe display area. And I mean BIG gun safes. They also had the quick draw pistol safes.

If you are looking for specific 50 cal or 30 cal cans, it's better to wait for other stores like Ammo bros to have them on sale for $12. I actually don't need that many 50 cal cans, but was looking for the 30 cal cans to fit/stack inside my air rifle safe to store pellets. The extra 50 cal cans will prolly be used to store brass in the garage.

Only that biggest one, it's for YOU :D

You know the ones I'm talking about, right? With the 1/4 turn locks
around the middle where the halves meet. Airtight whites cases.
I thought they were for parachute drops, had so much foam inside.

Unfortunately, not everything used by the military gets a cool name.

    DAYUM!
Thanks. I could find nothing online, either...

I was calling them "Storm Cases" but that refers to Hardigg and Pelican.
Same Basic idea. I have 3 of them, mil-surp, CHEAP and I wished I'd
bought a dozen, at least :wah: Air and Water Tight, with relief valves.

Yours were most likely electronics and or sensitive equipment cases transported at the group or hq level. Most field cases don't survive.

Tell me about it. I have one stacked neatly about 2" from full of loose 7.62x54R, around 2600 rounds. I can barely lift it. Great storage, but not something you pick up and take to the range with you!!
