Damaged Crown?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and thought someone here could offer any advice.

I recently purchased a Hi-Point .45 JHP Handgun at a local pawnshop for $100 a few days ago. I cleaned up the gun and was looking at the crown and noticed some powder coating on the edge of the muzzle that was chipped off. Is this going to affect the bullet gases and cause the gun to be inaccurate?
I attached a picture of the problem

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide an answer.

No not likely enough you'd notice. You can polish it out with some fine sandpaper or scotch bright if it bothers you. Or touch it up with some black paint. A hundred bucks? Not bad.

Agree with Duster. At typical pistol range, you won't see anything worth noticing due to that muzzle.

As previously stated, doubt you'll notice any accuracy issues.

Judging by the chips you circled, none appear to be close enough to make contact with the lands or grooves.

If you find a burr that extends into one of the grooves, or an area on one of the lands that is knicked or flattened, that may impart a wobble on the bullet as it leaves the barrel.

I guess it depends on how much of a perfectionist you are.

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about it.

Edited to add - Hey, where can I get me one of them cans of obama tears?:D
