I have been browsing for guns online, and noticed that Southern Ohio Guns has Hi Point pistols for $115-$134 (.380 - .45) and carbines for $219-$269 (9mm-.45).
I saw that Cabelas in Hamburg PA had the JHP for 169 and thought that was great. For $40 less, I'd be there when the doors open tomorrow
This is why they would be checking on me: The reporting requirements mandate all federally licensed firearms dealers and pawnbrokers in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas submit to ATF, reports of multiple sales or other dispositions of certain rifles to unlicensed individuals when two or more rifles are transferred at the same time, or within five consecutive business days of each other. The types of rifles that must be reported are those with the following characteristics: (1) semiautomatic; (2) a caliber greater than .22 (including .223/5.56 mm); and (3) the ability to accept detachable magazines.
It is supposed to keep guns away from the Mexican drug gangs. Too bad the BATFE didn't follow their own rules.
Has anybody ever bought a gun from Southern Ohio Guns? Last I heard they were a gun wholesaler & only sold to FFL's
I bought my JHP for $139.99. I figured that was the best price that I was going to find and it was about $40 less than I paid for my C9.
