Saw it at the drive-in this weekend and was really disappointed. Unless there's a second one, the ending left a lot of questions un-answered and the overall "execution"--of a potentially killer plot--wasn't all that great. I'll give it another try some day, but I really was let down. I went in thinking this was going to be the best movie I'd see in a long time, and it just wasn't.

i agree, i liked it because the weapons and graphics were just insane, but man it all felt like it took forever to unfold and it just left u wanting more...unless theres a district 10 i dunno if ill ever be satisfied with district 9 fully...i will admit the aliens were cool the ship was sick and the alien weaponry was insane and thats what kept me hooked...and i wanted to see the main character stop being a coward at some point
