A news story making the rounds for the last while is being presented to as "man murders neighbors over argument about snow shoveling then commits suicide." Well, that's true. But I also note some other lessons. First, let's all agree that all participants were stupid and all of them could have deescalated the situation at any time. That is certainly no excuse for murder and the criminal is very obviously guilty of double murder.

So what lessons? Well, obviously, "deescalate." The old saw goes that a martial arts student asks his instructor, "Master how can I be sure to never lose a bar fight?" His master replies, "Don't go to bars." Well duh. But the point here is that the victims could have just as easily left and gone back inside their home, or at the very least not engaged in an expletive laden shouting contest with the murderer.

Second, when the murderer came out WITH AN OBVIOUS GUN, the victims can be clearly heard saying "Go ahead!" Yeah, that's Daffy Duck saying "I dare you." Only in real life the victim doesn't get to readjust her bill and call for makeup. Equally stupid, the victims just stood there while the murderer was shooting at them. Why? Well, apparently because their cell phone is some sort of magic talisman. The female victim, holding her phone up, can be clearly heard yelling, "you're on video" stepping forward and is fatally shot. Yeah, if he's already decided to murder you in public, telling him to smile for the camera is not going to stop it.

GAT Daily had a good write-up on the incident and talked about how the idiotic couple refused to acknowledge the reality of the situation. Apparently, after they got shot with the handgun, they were still taunting the guy and calling him a pussy.

The writer discussed how they had become disassociated:

"The Goys show a classic case of a human phenomenon known as disassociation, there are several manifested facets (observable symptoms, if you will) of disassociation but one of them is an absolute convicted belief that your perception of the events occurring is the only one, and the 'right' one. You ascribe rules to the situation and cannot believe when those rules are broken. This isn't 'I can't believe the Lions won that football game,' it is a total denial and rejection of the facts at hand. Humans are very good at doing this and it is very bad for them.

The Goys are absolutely astounded that Spaide shot them, they don't even stop verbally sparring with him once shot. The Goys disassociated with reality and came up with their own. In that place of make believe, Spaide would not shoot them. Even when Spaide started shooting at them, and then shot them, the Goys continued to 'live' by their established rules for this argument in which Spaide would not actually shoot them and they would 'win' because, 'he's a pussy.'"

the things this video makes dramatic points of is
A) carry everywhere .....even at home
B) NEVER engage in verbal altercations ....walk away....DAMMIT.....if they arent getting physical .....WALK THE EFF AWAY.
C) when someone says they are gonna shoot you ....take them at their word and make a tactical retreat. be prepared to defend yourself .....but GTFO
and D) and if you are carrying , for Gods sake , dont be the instigator . all three of these people were in a horrible situation and none were cognizant of the reality .the shooter was a loon and the victims were , clueless as to the potential. bad bad stuff all around .

Sounds like the angry neighbor that murdered them finally had enough of the same people aggravating him for some time and snapped. It's too bad what happened, but when you continually sow bad seed the ugly plants are very likely going to grow.

I'm glad I don't have jack holes that are my nearby neighbors.

i was cursed with a grade A jackhole neighbor for a year and a half . we had several confrontations during that time , but i never allowes myself to be drawn into anything beyond that , even tho getting hands on with the guy would have been very satisfying . sometimes the bigger man just has to walk away OR be abso-freakin-lutely prepared for whatever might come if you dont . shit talking trash just isnt worth my time . the caveat would again be if they were close and threatening or actually got physical. the shooter had enough that much is certain. thats exactly the reason not to screw with people. this world has gone insane and is getting worse by the day it seems .

After watching that video plus a few others on that link, the things that I got out of them were:

Just because you shoot someone doesn't mean they always drop to the ground instantly, there's still enough left in them to come at you. I was amazed that the guy shot multiple times yet neither the man or woman seemed hurt enough to instantly fall.

People are stupid. One of the videos I watched showed a woman in a store confronting a LEO with a pair of scissors, he repeatedly told her to drop them but she kept coming! When he finally had to shoot she went head over heals before coming to a stop on the floor. Another video shows a guy not wanting to be searched, then backs away and pulls a gun out and starts shooting. I believe in that one he killed a fireman who had just saved his life.

When people get so riled up they cannot control themselves, it's not only sad but also fascinating. What makes someone get so spun up that all common sense is lost? What is the trigger or final straw that broke that camel's back? And what makes 2 people keep after this guy when he returns with a firearm??? What were they thinking in those final few seconds?

I watched an episode of The First 48 last night. 3 (said it was 5 later on) armed guys break into a house looking for drugs and money. The guy next door hears the lady screaming and heads out the door armed. The 3 guys leave the house, see the guy, and start shooting. There were bullet holes everywhere, 12ga, 9mm, 223. Turns out all 3 eventually hit the guy, killing him. I think he got 2 from the 223, and 1 each from the 9mm and shotgun. All 5 were caught and all 3 of the guns were recovered. 1 guy was caught hiding nearby, 1 they found on a plane ready to take off, and the 3rd turned himself in after a couple of weeks. I think the sentences ranged from 20 years to life for all 5. Their truck was found with 2 large screen TVs and 2 Playstations in the bed of the truck, no drugs, no money.

This reminds me of a story I watched on television that happened in Pennsylvania. Neighbors were fighting with each other for a period of time. It ended when a woman neighbor decided to throw boiling water on two of the women she was fighting with. She was convicted of aggravated assault and conspiracy. She was sentenced to four to eight years in a state prison.

The officers in each situation covered his ASP.

Reading is fundamental. By the way, are you one of those weirdos who puts triple parentheses around things in the Zero Hedge comment section? Only an anti-Semite sees the word "Goy" and reacts the way you did.

I had trouble getting the website to come up. And yes, I do see that the name was Goy. But..if being considered a Anti-Semite for objecting to the 'anti Christian' name Goy is so offensive to some..so be it! And 'you' should look up Anti-Semite. You obviously do not know the definition. Think 1st before ya post.

'Nuf said, it seems. I've never seen anyone get so wrapped up around that term other than people in the Zero Hedge comment section.
It must really piss you off when someone calls you a كافر. :rotfl:

With all of that being said, the Goys certainly didn't act much like Christians.

I don't know T1. Guess we should cut him a little slack. I get the question from a Hebrew - even an Arab. Had several students who were pretty sensitive, especially when the Holocaust came up. @Lovetoshoot- busting each other's chops is a past time here. If we can't pick on liberals, we pick on each other. Welcome to the zoo

You not only act arrogant, but ignorant as well. It would behoove you to read up on some history and then...if possible, 'think 1st' before you make such silly comments. Your "quote"
proves it. Perhaps you might educate us. (if you can do so without your intellectual sarcasm)

Arrogant??? Surely, you are mistaken. No one in this world is more humble than I.

Let's all take a breath here. The terms you both have used can be taken out of context and we all know it. Goy and ***** are both pejorative and let it be said that ***** as used by T1st should not to be confused for ******. Different -ism.

Let's relax for a minute and let this one go.
