I've seen some posts where folks have had one of the HP carbines for 5, 10 and even 20 years. It would be interesting to see how long folks have had their carbines, what calibers they have them in and maybe even estimated round counts. I know I've had several hundred through my son's 995TS. And that's really not that much. IIRC, you don't even do the first cleaning until like 1500 rounds?

So if you've got some longevity on your carbine or some round counts, give a shout out :)

Run a brush down the barrel ever few hundred rounds, but don’t take it apart until that 1500 round mark, unless it acts up. Spray some lube in once in a while.

I had a brand new 9mm puke after less than 500 rds in 1 day of use. The bolt galled, sent it in an they returned it with a "free magazine". I sold it the next day because basically its a novelty like a raven er something. If it caught the light it looked like a silver mist coming out of it. It worked great until it didnt.

Ive had my 4595 since 2012, dont know how many rounds put through it but their all 185 gn semi wadcutters.
Had one issue a while back when a sliver of metal inside chamber stopped bolt from cycling, I took it apart cut it out and never looked back. The thing is a built like a T-72 Russian tank.

Yea right. Just like a pukey Raven huh? Wife and I have put thousands of rounds through ours and still shooting them.
As have many others here with over 10,000 rounds. Not sure I can buy your BS.

It's possible if he ran 500 rounds without proper lubrication. Over heat the bolt with no lube and it could theoretically cause galling. Not an issue with the weapon per se, but rather simply abusing it. Like I tell me kids... anything is possible, but it may not be probable.
