Sheesh.
It's BUMTHUM!!!!!!! WITH AN "M"!!!!!Brother BUNTHUM??????????????????
Mr. Chairman... may I have order in the chamber?Gentlemen, gentleman!
We must not allow the pedantic semantics of language distract us from our common foe, the dreaded werewolf/chupacabra/robot/lizardman.
I have been considering the manner further and think that the davis/cobra ca series in 32cp has excellent uses in the war to come. Small, concealable, significantly less likely to explode than its 380 twin brother.
Historicaly it has come in a wide variety of finishes including bumper chrome. Nothing instills fear in the mind of a foe and steadys the heart of its user quite like bumper chrome, the definitive mark of quality.
Brother bunthum,
I know you have mentioned less then favorable thoughts on this little pistol. If you would care to expand on the issue I for one would like to hear more.
If others have experience good or bad (and I'm guessing mostly bad here) about this little gem, please sound off!

Funniest thing I have read in weeks! :rotfl: RIDICULOUS!!!Mr. Chairman... may I have order in the chamber?
It's my considered opinion that the issues with the Davis P32/Cobra CA32 are most closely associated with the Davis production guns. Verily, I am no expert in the application of such arms, though it can be said that I am a collector of foul thoughts from across the length and breadth of the internet and boomerdom. I cannot, in good faith, put forward that they be a reliable source of succor to those in need, nor do I propound to suggest that they may not yet be more a deterrent than might a sharpened stick, or pointed brick. I yield the remainder of my time to the chair.
ummm, in 'the queen's engrish' BUM is same as A$$ old pal :rotfl:It's BUMTHUM!!!!!!! WITH AN "M"!!!!!
Sheesh.![]()
At one point (when i was young and stupid, instead of old and semi-senile, i had a "bumper chrome" RG63. That thing was about as safe as wearing porkchop underwear while kicking a Bengal tiger in the nuts. The only thing i liked about it was that it LOOKED and loaded like a single action revolver, but was really double action. Wouldn't mind finding something like that again, just not one that has a stroke when you shoot it. DEFINITELY DON'T use +Ps in them, or your ejector shroud will do more damage than the bullet that it fires.Gentlemen, gentleman!

Breeding? Breeding with what? And mind your tone, kid. I'm a Chef. I know my way around sharp knives and will not hesitate to conduct a carving lesson on any nanobutt wherewoof should the need arise.Sir, there is nothing "nonsense, jibberish, or claptrap" in this conversation regarding the post-ferrous/aluminum eating nanobot werewolf apocalypse. I'd challenge you to fisticuffs were I not a gentleman of high breeding.

That said, I really haven't heard much in the way of criticism of the Cobra CA32, if I could find one at a reasonable price I would buy it. I've seen the 380 pistols around from time to time, but I completely lack confidence in repeatedly firing 380 out of a pistol that was essentially designed around 32. To me that would be like shooting my 40 S&W Kel-Tec P11... it just beats everything up.
As to the Davis guns, the major thing I hear is extraction/ejection issues and, later in life, cracked slides and sometimes frames. Extraction is a huge deal and it's the 20+ year battle I've had with my Jennings J22. A blowback firearm should not have so many extraction and ejection related issues, many of the original blowback designs had no extractors and some lack extractors to this day. In a ZAMAK gun, 32 ACP and up, I can forgive things like slide and frame cracks eventually forming, but more or less new firearms should never develop extraction/ejection problems... either the design is bad, which seems less likely, or the QC and tolerancing are poor. That's just my two cents.
