Enfield Resurrection

  1. I aquired a 1945 No4 Mk1* Longbranch Enfield from a prospector buddy of mine. It had been sporterized which was a crime in itself. After searching for 9 months, I was able to secure an authentic Longbranch stockset. I still need to get a stacking swivel and a sling from Numrich, that'll come hopefully in a few weeks.

Thats my first real refinish/restoration. I had so much fun doing it, I'm now doing the same with my WASR. Hell, I have a gallon of BLO, gotta use it somewhere!!! Hmmm....the Yugo Mausers are next!!!

I like the traditional look of Enfields. Nice rifle!

  3. A beautiful job, and thanks for having the sense to restore this gem to its original configuration. I hate sporterizing!

  4. Wow, what a great looking weapon.

I have to give a +1 to farmkid, I don't like sporterizing either.
