Europeans now want '2nd' protection

Discussion in '2nd Amendment' started by perotter, Apr 18, 2014.

  1. Now even the people living in Europe see that need for having a 2nd Amendment. They now think they need to be more like us.

This should put an end to the leftist argument here that we need gun control to be more like Europe. But, our government is calling for more disarmament of the people there.

"If you have ever wondered if a government will turn on its own citizens with deadly violence, you only need to look at current events in Kiev. While it is unknown exactly how many protesters have been shot to death, it is estimated that the number is close to one hundred. Ukraine has been unstable since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the breakup of the Soviet Union. The country has seen several revolts and attempts to change the government, each time with the everyday citizen getting stepped on. The good news is that the citizens of Ukraine are now demanding the right to keep and bear arms. The Ukrainian Gun Owners Association sent out this press release:

“Today every citizen of Ukraine understands why our country has hundreds of thousands of policemen. Last illusions were crushed when riot police used rubber batons and boots at the Independence Square on peaceful citizens.
After such actions we realize that it is not enough to only adopt the Gun Law. As of today Ukrainian Gun Owners Association will start to work on the preparation of amendments to the Constitution, which will provide an unconditional right for Ukrainian citizens to bear arms. People should have the right to bear arms, which will be [written] into the Constitution.
Authorities should not and will not be stronger than its people!
Armed people are treated with respect!”

A smart man learns by the mistakes and misfortunes of others. There is no need for us to make the same mistakes and suffer the same misfortunes and those in Ukraine. This unfortunate time shows us that the 2nd Amendment is more important now than ever. If the protesters in Ukraine had been armed they would have been able to effectively defend themselves.
I hope that the Ukrainians get a stable, honest government and that the Ukrainian gun laws allow them their right to keep and bear arms. This is the right of every human being: the right to defend oneself and their family from criminals and tyrants. There is no better way to do this than with a firearm."

Those poor fools want what they already have. Some jerk in a suit writes some words on paper and they're all like "Okay. We can't own weapons because you say so."

More power to 'em but that said, **** 'em. They cowed down and it's hard to to get back up once you're down there.

  3. They weren't cowed so much as they where lied to by the British. It was the Brits that convinced them to put all of their arms into one group of trucks and the men to get into different group of trucks. Then the Brits turned the men over to the USSR to experience live in a leftist utopia.

There was only a few left that were able to carry on until about 1950. Then they had to bury their arms.
