Hello Everybody! I just picked up my 1st High-Point 995 Classic, not my 1st weapon by any means but a cool firearm none the less. Anyway I have about 300 USD left over to mod this little honey into the most EVIL black rifle the liberal media has ever imagined. I have the ATI stock already in place. Any other tips on where to go from here and where to get would be great.

USD? Where are you from?

Check out some of the folders that have recently been made both from ATI stocks and from the factory stock. Bushman98 is on a temporary hiatus but check out his merchandise, it is top notch and the prices are fair to say the least, hopefully he will be back into production soon.

Also Moerse Lekker products

There is a third guy who makes parts and sells via ebay called Thomas Hartman (ebay ID = mold99)

I found the mold99 fella, however I wanted a few different metals such as a brass trigger in place of aluminum, and a knurled can in place of the smooth one. MOERSE LEKKER is sold out for a month or two while he resupplies and bushman is MIA. I love the folder idea and I'm a trained Mech. Engineer, but I really don't want to deal with that much right now. At this point I want to bolt stuff on, make it look nice and have a fun gun as well. BTW I am from the good old US of A, Kentucky to be exact!

I have bought parts from Bushman & mold99. As a fellow engineer (EE) I appreciate the high quality from both suppliers. As stated in 2 other posts, Bushman seems not to be producing any parts currently. You can see pictures of my ATI Classic in the post titled "TS Convert - Maybe?". It has parts from both suppliers. The top rail is from Bushman & the big button mag release, charging handle, barrel shroud from mold99 and extended butt pad from ATI. The black semi-gloss epoxy paint is AlumaHyde II from Brownells.

I have a new TS which I am currently adding mods to. I enjoy adding parts to the carbine almost as much as shooting them! The next item I would like to add to the ATI Classic is a Grip Pod LE.

Its you money but I have to caution, at some point you are going to wish you had invested that money in a rifle using a full power round like 308 or 30/06.

I love my 995 for what it is and does as it stays in the truck ready to go jic. Cant do that with a 1200.00 308 MBR.

Thanks mohawk, I personally couldnt wait any longer for bushman to get back in production, so I ordered a 3 piece rail set from milsurpstuff and I have a $hitload of 1/4 aluminum strip drops from a job we did at work a few years ago. I took one of those pieces and cut it a little shorter than the bottom rail. Then I grinded it from 1 end to the other to give a "wedge" to space the rail straight.
Heres another pic so you can see it better.

Why? I have two bare 995's [had an ATI on one but hated it] for home defense. I don't consider anyone at 100 yds + as much of a threat. Why would I need a .308 or .223 or anything with a 500 yd range?
