I don't carry an extra magazine but have thought about it. I do carry with 1 in the pipe.

My mindset is purely defensive. I believe (right or wrong) once a BG sees I'm not easy and have a gun, he/she is likley to turn tail, or at least pick on someone else.

In the event I have to shoot I practice all the skills needed to get the gun out, aim quickly, shoot well, shoot while moving/retreating, shoot from different positions and all that.

I believe practice and mindset are as important as extra ammo - maybe more so in 90% of potential situations.

True. Practice makes perfect. It doesn't matter how much ammo you have if you cant shoot and hit the intended target.

i caryy one spare mag if im carrying a lo cap. no spare if i have a hi cap. i figure if i have to expend 16-20 rounds of ammo there is likely to be something on the ground i cna pick up if the fight is still on.

voted yes, but I don't 100% of the time. depends on cap. of pistol.

I always carry 2 spare mags full of ammo. Weight isn't unmanageable and it's always good to be prepared for the worst while still hoping for the best.

I do not carry any extra magazines nor do I carry any Clips for the matter. Pretty much what Newskate9 said.

I asked this in another thread on here. Do you carry a extra clip when your packing? I carry one extra clip. I have three clips total but I dont feel the need to carry all three.
Lets hear your thoughts on this. I rather have the extra ammo and not need it then to need it and not have it.

i do not carry any extra clips for my hi point. i do however have an extra magazine with me.

Dont carry one on person, but fully loaded spares are not far away. :blink:

I thought Mags. are in HiPoints not Clips.

I see alot of you here choose to have extra ammo on hand. Thats good to know.

I got a nice holster that allows me to keep one in the gun and another just on the side...so it would be a waste of money and space not to carry more ammo.

Plus if something goes real bad i would prob need more then 8 shots to get home from work or school.

I carry an extra bad sometimes 2. If I'm being really weird I'll have 3 extra. My mags are only 8 shot because I have the old JC model .40
