Firing pin for a 995 9mm carbine

Discussion in 'Hi-Point Carbines' started by LMT, Nov 3, 2015.

  1. Upon cleaning I noticed the firing pin and associated springs dropped out of
the receiver. Is the FIRING PIN meant to have a very slight bend in it?

Nope, it's meant to be straight.
You can try and straighten it your self or you can call HP and get a new one send free of charge.

Better yet, do both. Straighten the one you have , use it til it breaks, likely a bunch of hundredsof rounds from now, but call and have a replacement sent so you have one on hand.

Hi-Popint does not answer the phone. I have been calling since 11/12/2015 and nothing but a busy signal. Did they go out of business?

  6. Hardly. Busy signal means... they're really busy! It's a small operation. Try calling 1st thing in the morning, always works for me

So let's all take a moment to think about the utter stupidity of this post.

Maybe they went out of business and left the phone off the hook.

I finally got thru and they sent me out a new pin right away.
