·Well folks, at 38 I finally got around to buying a pistol. I came across Hi Point for the first time about a week and a half ago, I was instantly intrigued. The store I was at was out of C9s so I took a card and vowed to return. I spent the rest of the week researching online, coming across this forum along the way. After reading a lot of posts I set out to get my pistol last saturday. I ended up not going back to where I had first seen them, luckily. I went to a place closer to home and found it for about $20 less. Got a C9, 50 rds, holster and background check rounded down to $185. 15 minutes later I was in the pistol range out back puting some rounds through it. Stopped at another store and picked up a 10 rd mag later. On my way back through Springfield that afternoon I stopped and bought another 50 rds. I kept 18 to fill the mags and put the rest down range. Only issue I encountered was with the 10 rd mag, not unexpected because it was brand new and the spring is super strong. This resulted in a couple misfeeds when full. Otherwise no problems, the gun performed perfectly. As I have not been an avid shooter my marksmanship left a lot to be desired that first day. On wednesday I stopped in and put another 50 down range and happy to say my groups are already improving.
