I had resigned myself to waiting months and months before getting my CCW. Sent in the completed application on June 12, UPS overnight delivery, to arrive on June 13. My license arrived today!

That's gotta be a record.

MN is a 30 day max. It took me 29 days to get mine......My father in law got his in just 3 days. Now whats up with that?!?! Its well worth the wait.

At one time (a few months ago) the rumor was 95,000 application backlog. I guess they are getting caught up and/or the apps are slowing down. Or maybe.... EVERYONE in Florida has sent them in already, 'cept me. :embarrassed2: Guess I need to get busy!!

Very cool, I plan to send in my request as soon as I get it. I just found out some bad news though, the form says a photocopy of my military ID is my form of competency with a firearm, thing is it is illegal for me to photocopy my DoD ID, as the DoD doesn't want the copy getting in the wrong hands to make counterfeits. So is it alright for me to do it as a State agency says it is OK?

The state Leg passed an increase in all services (licenses, tags, etc) to try and make up for budget shortage. I am guessing it will apply to the CCL too. Sept 1 is the date I believe for the increases.

Andronicus , go ahead I see nothign wrong in doing it. I did the same just in case it was needed. Mine was not but I had it ready just in case.

Holy crap, it took me 3 days to get my CCW permit, and about 5 mins to renew it.
