I forget which thread it was it involved ordering from Freedom Munitions. If it doesn't say "FMJ" in the listing it isn't. It is "TMJ" total metal jacket. I know the Mole was involved. Just clearing things up. :)

    Dear Aachmed
Our bullets are considered a TMJ (total metal jacket). They are fully copper plated with no lead exposed.

    Thank you

Did you seriously sign your email "Achmed"? It is spelled (and pronounced) "Ahmed". There is an "ح" in the name; not a "خ". Jeez. Get it right, man.;)

    TMJ, copper plated.
Plating is not really considered a Jacket, technically, is it?

I think that TMJ is like FMJ but with the base of the bullet coppered, as well, to encase all of the lead. If something is just plated, it is stated as such on the package (or is supposed to be).

My name on their site really is Aachmed Hazmaat. I edited for my secrecy to fool the NSA

AFA these plated bullets? I think they start to shred above 1400fps(?) as long as you are below that you are fine. Please feel open to correct me.

Well, I was under the impression that a JACKET was a hollow shell that the lead
is pressed into. TMJ would then include a folded base that covers all the lead.
"Fully Plated" would mean all surfaces are covered with the copper plating. FCP?

I doubt that my little 6.6" barrel will exceed 1400 FPS, but I'm hoping for near 1200!
    Looking for 525ft/# @ 1150 FPS minimum to 575ft/# @ 1200 FPS.

The ammo specs page lists 1200 FPS, presumably a 5" test barrel as most do,
if that is true, I could expect maybe 1250 FPS, give or take ;) ~625ft/#

By the way you can spoof IP addresses, but they can still be traced.

You have a source for the copper plating peeling off at speeds above 1400 fps?

I've pushed some of the X-Treme plated over 1400 without any issue.
    From their website:

    Load Info

Our Copper Plated Bullets can be run at mid-range jacketed velocities or higher end lead velocities. We recommend keeping velocities to less than 1500 FPS (Feet Per Second) and using only a light taper crimp

Any velocities over 1200 FPS we recommend either our Heavy Plate Concave Base or Hollow Point products for superior accuracy. We recommend keeping velocities to less than 1500 FPS (Feet Per Second) and using only a light taper crimp

I was off by 100fps. I did have my disclaimer in there ;) I was pulling that number out of a conversation I had with my bro a couple of years ago.
