Everyone loves to eat meat, yet cringe away when they see HOW the meat is made
It's really sad how many people really don't know how meat is processed for the general public.
They'll eat the meat, but they want to pretend that no animals get hurt during it's production. The meat, to them, just magically appears without animal involvement.
This is similar to anti-gun celebrities who want to ban guns but pretend that the very armed security and specially-detailed police at their functions aren't doing for them what guns do for those of us who can't afford that kind of hired protection. The protection, to them, just happens without any gun involvement.

I have slaughtered many chickens, the ex was amazed how casual I acted. It was her idea to raise them for meat and eggs. I would pluck and she would gut them. We would toss their parts out into the yard while we were cleaning them and they would gobble them up. Especially their balls.
In you case it could be considered cannibalism
I work with pigs for a living. The best meat is from farm to oven the same day.
Knowing this to be true, I've planted more than a few hundred trees in my life.
