Hello all: I am a new Hi Point 995TS owner. I have stripped the gun down to become familiar with its operation. My question is in regard to the ejector. I can see the extractor but don't see an ejector. When I place a dummy rnd. into the chamber, pull back the slide, the rnd is extracted from the chamber but just sits there. What flips it out of the ejection port? Thanks for any and all help. Whitecap

    The firing pin.

The extractor claw pulls the shell out of the chamber and bounces it off the exposed firing pin.
Double feeds and failures to eject can cause a bent firing pin.
This will then cause multiple failure to feed or eject.

    DO not cycle life ammo.
There is a small chance of the primer being set of.
If you need to clear a live round tilt the gun ejection port down and slowly bring the slide back and the round will fall out.

Do the pistols also use the firing pin as an ejector like the carbines do?

Yes the pistols are the same.
