Ok i am thinking about setting up a bait pile this winter and popping some Coyote's with either my .556 or my .243 or even my mosin. I have scopes on all of them and would like to NOT buy a night vision scope if i can help it. I am hoping to be within 75 to 100 yards what illumination or device might i use to help spot them other then a big giant light.

I am hoping there is a reasonably priced device i could try?

Thanks for any tips or suggestions too

Coyotes are a 24/7-365 day varmint here in the Buckeye.

I don't personally, but have friends who use them. I have a dedicated weapon platform for night shooting, a Savage .308 with the Sightmark Photon 5x42 Digital Night Vision scope.

Spotlighting varmints and vermin is usually legal. Think possum, raccoon, etc.

    But yes, check local laws.

It's illegal in MO, except for treed raccoons when using dogs...... Really stupid.
