Any body from the Austin area know of a good range to go shoot at. Found something in Oak Hill about Reds indoor. I live north, so that may be a little far to go. Thanks!

Join Austin Rifle Club. $100 a year for unlimited access. Range is in Manor. There's a Red's in Pflugerville and Eagle Peak out towards Cedar Park area. Also Stans and Astro south of Florence.

Astro Shooting Range - 300 US Highway 183. Florence, Texas 76527 Office: 512-489-2061 Cell: 512-966-6118. Take 183 North past CR 138 (Florence) and 0.25 mile past CR 243 (Burnet) on the left. 2 pistol bays with 10 lanes. 2 rifle bays with 12 leans. 1 shotgun bay with an electric shotgun trap thrower. 10 position CHL bay (for instructors only). 17 position training bay. Law Enforcement/military discount. Men's, women indoor bathrooms. Coming soon: 10 ft platform for archery practice (simulated tree stand), 6 competition bays.

Fayette County Gun Club 3.5 miles north of La Grange on Highway 77. Open Tues, Thurs and Sat. Hours vary with season. Check their website for more information. Pistol, Rifle, Skeet, Trap and Country Doubles ranges. Rifle ranges go out to 300 yards. Memberships available.

Stan's Guns and Range (254-793-3906), off Hwy 183 north of Austin past Seward Junction, 7 days/week. 25 yard pistol, 25 yard .22 cal, 100 yard rifle, clay thrower ranges. Hunter safety classes 4th weekend. $12/day per shooter. Formerly known as Tony's Guns and Range.

Cedar Ridge (830-980-4424). Previously known as La Paloma, just north of San Antonio. 7110 FM 1863 Bulverde TX 78163, 2 miles west of the 3009 intersection on the way toward Bulverde (map). Closed Mon-Tue, open Wed-Fri noon-dusk, Sat-Sun, 9-dusk. Sporting clays, 5-stand, rifle and pistol ranges.

I've been to Red's in Pflugerville. In fact, it's the very first place I shot my C-9. It's decent--about $16 an hour I think.

I went to the Astro Shooting range today. Good place. People were friendly and helpful. Cost $12.00 for all day.
