I picked up this older lady Friday, I haven't taken her out for dinner yet (Range) but she does seem to have a FINE trigger, frankly one of the best DA/SA triggers I had to pleasure of playing with.
I tried to post another picture but it somehow got corrupted...
But I was pretty happy with the picture my cellphone took! It was made in HDR mode and quite impressed with the picture quality!

    Nice,

I used to have a model 39 and it had a very good trigger on it, traded it and some cash for a P226 a long time ago. The 59 is very nice too, a friend of mine had one and I liked the way it shot and it felt good in my hand. Might try to find a good used one, one of these days.

Have a soft spot for that gun
I picked up a 39 and 59 that had been given to a lawyer from S&W back in the 80's for some work he did. Gave 'em to my dad, but shot them a bit and did like that 59 a lot.

I like them but won't pay the premium they often go for around here. Congrats on your buy though.

I paid 450 for it which is a bit much for the condition it's in, honestly I'd rate it NRA fair to good condition, It was certainly shot a lot with lots of wear on the finish which the above pic I took poorly shows.

  6. As a Smith collector I love seeing these pics...very nice! ;)

I'm now a Smith collector. I own more S&W products than anything else! Next up is a Smith revolver of some sort like a model 10 or something.

  8. The revolvers get really really addicting...ask me how I know...:D

.500 S&W Magnum has been on the bucket list for me and my wife who is a wheel gun fan but the cost of the gun and the ammo let alone the sheer recoil of the cartridge is intimidating. My wife and I love us some .357 magnum though.
