I'd like to pick up a good .22 rifle. Now is the time to hunker down and ride out the storm, though. With all of the social unrest, likely to get even worse when Trump wins in November, it's time to start thinking about how best to deploy what you have.

    She's purty.

And comes with a 50 or 100 round magazine.

Load it on the first day of the month,
shoot it to everyday for the rest of the month.

Or at least, on the 10 or 12 days when it runs right.

A friend of mine, living in Iowa, owns two of them.

Like most firearms, they needed a breaking in period.

They work well enough for him - he's particular enough to get rid of firearms that refuse to function as advertise.

Forgotten Weapons did a review, and said that despite the reputation, they seem to work if loaded properly.

    Nah, you’re planning something.
You wouldn’t sell two guns otherwise.
Cough it up what is it?

Honestly, nothing. This is a seller's market. I'm taking advantage of that fact so that when it becomes a buyer's market again in a year or so, I will have scratch to take advantage of that too.

    Buy low, sell high.

Nah you’re selling a collectors item not a panic gun.

But he’s not really a collector, so if he can feed someone’s panic buying needs....it’s all good.

I also have the CZ70 up. I guess that might be considered a collectable but I didn't think so.

  14. I keep looking, would like to have one if I can find it at a reasonable price, $909 isn't it, at least in my mind. I'd go $450 for the folding stock version though.

If I were to get a .22 for use during a time of unrest, I'd run with a Ruger 10/22. They're reliable, and parts and magazines for them are prolific. Quite frankly, if I had to have only a .22 to hold off a mob, I would feel very comfortable if it were a 10/22.

I have heard good things about the S&W 15/22's reliability, but I just don't think the magazine situation for those is as good as it is for the Ruger.

10/22 can be picky on what ammo you feed it. I have been very impressed with their 22lr RPR they take 10/22 mags and can shoot

You definitely can't go wrong with a bolt-action rifle when it comes to .22LR. With that being said, if I were to go with a bolt-action .22, I'd probably get the Ruger American. It also runs the 10/22 magazines, but it's a couple hundred dollars less than their chassis rifle. Granted, I certainly wouldn't turn down one of those RPRs if that was what I had for the bad times. I would certainly take one over my Remington 581-S. The Ruger rotary magazines are far superior to the Remington's magazines.

  20. I really want a Beretta 81 Cheetah .32 acp. Classic Firearms had a bunch of Italian police surplus guns at one time before the covid virus came along. Found one on Armslist that a guy has pretty close to me that he wants to sell. Looks like it was a hand picked one and he wants $350 for it. I've also been looking at the Zastava M70 .32 acp there are a number on Gunbroker in the $250 range.
