I've had this thought in the back of my head for a long, long time and was hoping to get some input. Half my collection is stored vertically on the floor and the other half (namely my EBG's) are hanging horizontally on a wall-mounted wooden gun rack.

I can't seem to shake the feeling (even though lots of people do it) that suspending a gun by the stock and barrel can't be good for the barrel. Metal is strong, sure...but is it possible for the metal to begin to warp slowly, over time? Especially with the heavier types of rifles. If pictures are needed, let me know.

Thanks in advance for any and all input, guys.

Thanks guys

I figured I was over-thinking this, but it just kept bugging me :tongue2: I think a lot of it came from seeing how the flat stock at our shop needs to be kept on the ground--flat--and how it tends to warp over time if you have it against the wall.
