Anyone ever try to make a wooden stock for a carbine? I'd love to see one with an a2 style stock, smooth grips, and a bolt action military style fore grip. Has anyone ever tried?

That would be a real job. Just inletting the action would be very time consuming, if, like me, you have only hand tools..
It could be done, but expect a long slog.
I have put together a number of black powder guns. There is a reason most of them are fully, or semi, inletted.
The stock carbine is good enough for me, and I won't squeak if I scratch the stock.

A wood HP stock has been discussed, but never completed. Mid-Ohio can dip your HP Stock to look like wood?
