Well as long as the point is to convert money to ammo to noise they are great. Dont plan on hitting the broad side of a oil tanker with them. They are not bump fires as the weapon stays sort of stable and the trigger mech moves. Just a toy really.

I assumed he was talking about those hand crank jobs that work with a cam activating the trigger at a very high rate. Seen them on 10/22s, shotguns, and an AK but never saw them work worth a dam.

Oh yeah they will fire but hitting anything is pretty chancy. That 360 deg motion just moves the barrel too much.

actually off a bipod it was remarkably accurate. like any other rapid fire weapon, it wasnt as accurate as slow, aimed fire but it shot as good as any other full auto ive shot.

why all the hate?

Hate? Just a device Ive never seen serve any use. Perhaps those Ive seen were not done properly but somehow I gotta think that thing is temperamental as all hell.

Besides it seems the device the OP was talking about is that bump fire pos. Heh bump fire now there's a good way to convert money into noise.
But hey its their money.

the BMF cranks are specifically designed for use only on rimfires. when someone tries to use it on a centerfire i think you would no doubt see probelms. when used on a proper firearm, and corectly set up they work remarkably well. mine was a range toy for the most part. i did see action on a couple coyote hunts, as a pickup gun for the running shots for the animals that got missed by the guys with scoped rifles. at that it did very well. you could walk in the rounds and get good hits before the animals got away.

Come to think of it I haven't seen any but 10/22s in a long while, but back in the seventies people were using them on center fires even saw a guy with one adapted to a semi shotgun. Not a new idea.
