Hawaii or Burmuda?
I ask this because this is the dilemma I have at the moment. For my 40th Birthday next spring my wife is taking me on a trip of my choosing (it is her 10 years of service trip from work). I am leaning toward Bermuda just because I was born there and have not been there since I was 3 months old, so obviously I would like to see the place before I die.
However, there are dress codes at the nice resorts in Bermuda and I hate dress codes, they remind me too much of people who judge what's on the outside. Then the resorts that do not have dress codes are not resorts IMO as much as they are like the dirty Presidential Motel in Dixon.
Hawaii will be great, and not as crouded. But it won't be Bermuda.
Any of you that have been to either or both places fill me in on the resorts and Hotels etc.

Yeah, it was kinda the first thing that popped into my brain.... Sorry bro! 
I've been to both places and I would suggest Hawaii.
If going to Hawaii, avoid the big island. Maui is best for night life and Kauai is best for being more remote and natural.
If you decide to go to Kauai I have a few suggestions:
Captain Andy's sunset dinner cruise arouns the island
Jack Harter helicopter tours (take the top package, expensive but well worth it)
Smith Family Luau was the best in my opinion.
The Bulls Shed for a fantastick steak
The Beach House for some upscale dining (shorts and Tee's are welcome everywhere in Hawaii) and a menu that is a bit different.
For lunches check out some of the roadside stands (a huge pile of fresh shrimp, mmmm)

Do you need a passport for Bermuda?
A Canadian friend of mine went to Bermuda 2 years ago. Holy crap it's beautiful there! He sent me a whole bunch of pictures that I can post up if you want (they are at home and I'm at work, so I don't have em available right now). I want to go there at some point before I die.
