I have been looking for a while and had to jump in only have 1 with a problem the 40 pistol dont seem to feed right so I am taking your advice but I have a question my mag is not going all the way in it locks in but it is about a 1/4 in. gap at the grip I held the mag up tight and it made things worse so I have the mag loaded and setting I have put around 150 rounds through it with around fifty good feeds but I was doing everything wrong like ammo winchester,hp , full mag, not smacking the mag ect. I know this will be a good gun I have a 380,c9and a 995 all work fine.

Check out some of the troubleshooting stickies around man, it's probably just a little bit of a tweak needed to the mag lips to get it to seat right, then you're good to go, I'd assume.

There shouldn't be that much of a gap between the grip & mag. Are you sure that the bottom of the mag is seated all the way onto the body of the magazine?
I would check that out, maybe get a measurement from somebody else with a .40 & compare from tip of mag to top of base.

My .40 has about a 3/16" gap at the back with a full mag. The gap at the front is less than 1/16". Haven't had any problems with this gun other than it eats more ammo than I can afford.

Is yours a JC40 or JCP40? Mines a JCP and the magazine has an orange plastic follower.
