I was taking apart my carbine for some cleaning and I noticed something in the barrel/receiver ImageUploadedByHi-Point Forum1398298912.750454.jpg thing looks like the rail is cracked

How many rounds have you shot through it and what ammo?

I don't have a carbine so honestly not sure what I'm looking at.
I recognize the firing pin and the firing pin channel but I don't know if that little 'flake' you see is a problem or not.

The shell rides along the rail it will cause problems feeding

It looks normal to, better than most at 500 rounds actually. There is a steel insert in the zymak in that area. The seam between the two metals takes a pounding and can look pretty ugly. Clean it up with some fine sand paper and it will be fine.
