Hi Point Generation?

Discussion in 'General Hi-Point Discussion' started by GoodinJelly, Jun 21, 2014.

  1. How do I tell the different generations of the hi-point 9mm? I have noticed that my slide had the serrations on the middle of the slides and not toward the top of the slide like some of my friends. My serial number starts with a P if that helps.

Yours is the newer version. Released within the last year.

  3. Thx bro

Thank you so much. I have been searching Google for 3 days and can't find ONE single thread about this.

Well there is one now. They changed the slide design (moved the serrations) within the past year. Otherwise both C-9s are identical.

Just for future reference, Cicpup and Ajole are about as close to Hi-point historians as you can get.
In total there are about 15-17(?) incarnations of the HiPoint guns, both carbines and hand guns.

    .45 carbine
2 different .40 carbines, the classic and the TS
2 different 9 mm carbines, the classic and the TS
    2 or 3 .45 pistols
    3 or 4 .40 pistols
    3 or 4 9 mm pistol variations

  6. Dude.

You guys are so nice. There are other forums where people just treat me like **** because I don't know a lot like them. Thx for not being Nazis with the questions.

Give it a few days. We recently lost our last Newb Nazi, I'm sure another one will pop up soon enough.

Does that include the incarnations of the cammo monkey stock carbines?

All I can personally verify is the carbines. Cic, Ajole, and Macho will have to count up the pistols.

    1 45 carbine
    3 .40 carbines
4 9mm carbines (6 if you include the two different ATI stocks)

There are some other small changes that were made to the 9mm as well, through the years... firing pin and springs, trigger, rear sights, extractor and spring, slide retainer, last round hold open and the magazines.

One of my C9's are that way, the other is not. My JHP is the old way too.

Welcome to the forum!! There is plenty of info on here. If you can't find it in a thread search, holler, and someone will point you in the right direction, or answer it for you.

At least you have your priorities correct by placing the 4595 on top where it belongs.

    Let the battle begin.
