Hello, I'm new to Hi Point forum and this is my first post. I think that Hi Point should start manufacturing revolvers. Anyone else think this as well? I am in the market for a new revolver but don't have any plans to spend 700$. I have asked about inexpensive revolvers on other forums and always got the same answers. I was told you can get this and that for around 350$. Not sure about everyone else but that's not inexpensive in my book. If I paid 180$ for my NEW Hi Point why would I spend 350$ on a used such and such. I think you should be able to pick up a NEW revolver in the same price range as a Hi Point. I have found some old school "cowboy style revolvers" in that price range but don't plan on looking like John Wayne when I carry. Another answer I would get is these people and those people have a 22lr in that price range. I like a good 22lr but as I said, I'm looking for a revolver not a plinker. I think it could be good for Hi Points reputation if they were to manufacture revolvers. Hi Points carbines are know to be good firearms but their pistols have been under fire for some time now. If they were to manufacture a good reliable revolver for a good price I believe that it could bring their handgun line into a better light. Let me know what you think and if you know of any true inexpensive revolvers that the rest of us don't know about let us know.
Agreed, they would blow to pieces, if you want a hi point priced revolver, get a Taurus, they are fantastic for the price, I only have a .22 (94B2) but it is flawless, and the blued finish is beautiful, me step dad has a Judge, also blued, also beautiful, both revolvers are very tight and have smooth triggers, so that's the best revolver on a budget.
Revolvers are expensive for a reason, it takes precision to get the mechanism timed right so that it aligns properly. Whereas the semi auto pistols that HP makes are stupid simple and there can be variations in size of parts and etc., revolvers have to be perfect.
I don't think you can beat a Nagant for the price, ammo plentiful for a decent price and the surplus stuff is apparently more stout then the new production rounds.
I've heard the trigger pull on the nagant revolver is really long. Like 15 pounds in single action, and close to 25 in double action. If true that's way to much.
ANother option is an S and W model 10 p.38 special police surplus for $269.
Nagants are cool little revolvers, neat for the collection for sure, cheap as dirt, I had one back when they were $79, I never should have traded it ... Trigger pull is insane, and the ammo is expensive and there's not a lot of surplus, but there is modern ammo.

I got a little place near me that has surplus ammo for the cheap, but they don't do online and they're only open on weird hours. Point is, check out local surplus shops, they're usually reasonably priced.
Also for a cheap used revolver check armslist. I seen a 38 special on there for $160. I would have got it myself but I already have a 38 special charter arms undercover snubby with pachmyr grips for my edc.

Taurus is in no way Hi Point priced. The 94B2 that you speak of is 425$ msrp. Far from Hi Point price. On top of that it's a 22 and I would never spend that much on a poodle shooter. Thanks for reading though.
If u look around u can find good revolvers cheap i bought a S&W snubnose 38 for $200 and a Colt Lawman snubnose 357 for $225 and a S&W nickle plated w/ real pearl grips 32 long colt for $125 they are out there just have keep eyes open and be in the right place at right time.
our local shop has a bunch of "police trade ins" taurus .38 special revolvers for 179.99 + tax. free box of ammo too... thats cheap for a revolver . i've also seen EAA Windicators for under 200 "new" but you see a lot of price gouging with those. llama makes cheap revolvers and armscorp makes cheap revolvers.
there is a world of information at your finger tips (google, and a keyboard ) the reviews ARE out there...

Look in the CDNN catalogue, available on their website, they're around $300. I didn't mean they were a direct competitor in price, we already covered that revolvers are more expensive to make, but they are the cheapest high quality revolvers out there, much like HP, and yet catch the same bad rap as HP because of their price point.

They're on my gift-to-myself list.
The 357 version and maybe the nickel finish, $290 and $300 for the 4 inch http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-EA770127
But right now $300 + $30 shipping + $35 FFL gets up there quick.
Sorry. Not to cause a flameup, but I guess I'm a ruger fanboy, but you can't beat the ruger line of revolvers. I'd take my 357 GP100 over the comparative SW or any other revolver for that matter any day of the week.
I've owned it about 25 years or so. It has been the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. I shot it out once, and it rebuilt with Colt parts and shoots like new again. Gunblast did a positive review of the ARM 357 a few years back.
Weihrauch is a well known German maker of revolvers in Europe. They have a good reputation for well made reliable guns for the price. I have never seen another Weihrauch so I can only speak for the one I own.
Nope not true. I forgot I fixed an EAA Bounty Hunter a few years ago. They are Weihrauch's. The design has changed a bit since the ARM357, but is basically the same gun. I felt the fit and finish on my ARM was a little better than the newer Bounty Hunter.
