Can anyone tell me about the C9 that I inherited?
It has no magazine safety nor is there any cut-out provision for one.
It has no last round hold-open assembly nor is there any provision for one.
It has no guide rod for the recoil spring.
The firing pin spring is a single coil and nothing else with it.
I'm asking because mine doesn't look exactly like any diagram I've ever seen by Hi-Point and the internals don't look like any of those on YouTube.
Could this be one of the first-generation C9s?
Thank you all for your input.

Thank you for that brother.
Yes, my gun is a "C" and not a C-9 as I posted. The information that you provided went a long way in explaining why my pistol is different from the other Hi-Point 9mm pistols that I commonly see.
Everything you said about the model C exactly describes this pistol that I inherited from my dad. :)

You're welcome. Nice that you've got something from your dad. Sounds like you've got a keeper.

Yup, still interested in what it looks like.
It looks exactly like an older C9 with the old trigger, but with a different roll stamp on it.

^^I'm betting it's getting the magazine to be reliable^^
I'm surprised they didn't call upon their patron saint muchosnivelin', to magically create them from scrap parts like he did half of his collection. Just to claim he found them as all originals in the wild.
