Had an HP (9mm) in 1995, but was not a good shooter with it.
Consistent low, and left, (it was ME!) and I did not have the patience
to work with the gun. Sold it to a buddy, he gave me exactly what I
paid, and never bought anything else. I was a decent shot with Dad's
S&W .357 revolver, and other guns, but not the HP9. Regretted that,
and now just Friday, I bought a HiPoint 40 cal. Still need to go to the
range and get checked out on it, but from what I read online, and
some great youtube reviews, it will be a great gun! I'm also not or ever
was a HiPoint Snob, either for or against, as I have an S&W M&P9,
Ruger LC9, and other higher priced weapons. For the price, I am sure I can
love my new HP just as much! (maybe more?) lol!

GREAT TO BE HERE!!!

Coitus Interruptus on the range report, our neighbor
asked us is we would stop shooting (at home, legal and all that)
so I did not get a shot off w/the HP!
Hope to fire it Easter Sunday

Welcome to the forum. My son's first handgun was a Hi Point 40 S&W and he loves it. He now has a .45 and a 995TS in his collection. I have a 995TS and I love the gun.

Thanks for all the kind words!

I had a HiPoint when they were brand new, nearly... Doubt if they had a Forum then! I got online in 1998, and message boards were
Very Primitive! Text only bbs's! This is a Nice bbs! Good people here too!
Glad to be here! I have some pricier guns, but Love the HP's ALOT!
Just got another .40 ($142) and a 995TSFG for $250! The LGS threw
In a wooden ammo box when I bought 4 boxes of ammo w/the weapons!
If I sound excited, it is because I am. Guns and ammo prices are getting
back to normal, and we can all tell F-Stein to go get $crewed, we are not gonna take it ANYMORE!! lolZ
HP's make great loaner weapons, and backups. Once I get checked out
on my HP's I may use them as primaries. I see that they have minor
Warranty Issues, but once MOM fixes it, it usually is Good To Go!
Great primary weapon reliability, it seems most of you say... Way Cool!

If it is legal for you to shoot on your property then I would do so, but perhaps while the neighbor is away at work. If he continues to complain maybe you could invite him over to join you for a little plinking fun? I know ALL about having less-than-desirable neighbors...mine are actually evil incarnate.
