In a Darkrooms thread I discussed why I was going to be beginning a track on the historic Quarterstaff methods, starting with the most recent and working backwards. Due to issues revolving around students being on the Disabled List, fall season responsibilities, and some who have COVID concerns, we have not done the Quarterstaff and, instead focused on other training for those classes which students could/would attend.
However, I still believe that this is important material so I decided to make some videos. I'm planning on a total of three videos, each one covering the basics of a different Quarterstaff system. Here are the first two:
Boy Scouts Master at Arms 1926 Merit Badge Quarterstaff:
Phillips-Wolley and Allanson-Winn Quarterstaff system from 1989 book BROAD-SWORD and SINGLE-STICK:
Peace favor your sword,
Kirk
