Hoarding

Has anyone seen the show on A&E called Hoarders? To me its a fascinating/mind boggling show about people who throw nothing away and they are trying to get these people help for their issue.

It makes me think my neighbors may be one. First a little back story, I have lived across the street from them for 8 years and I have never met them. They don't work (as far as I know), rarely go outside and they are generally bizarre people (solo sword play in the front yard with a wooden sword, picking weeds out of the front yard in the dark, adult kids still ride in the backseat, etc). So anyway back to my hoarding suspicions, there are 3 adults living there, the mom and her 2 twenty something sons. Every week on trash day I notice that all that goes out to the curb is a little Walmart bag with trash and a recycle bin that looks empty from across the street. Now, in my house there are 4 of us, 2 adults 2 kids and I have 2-4 normal kitchen trash bags a week and I have to jump up and down on my recycle bin for it all to fit. Hell even the elderly couple that lives next door to me put out 2 kitchen sized bags. I'm just curious, I honestly never gave the neighbors a second though until I saw that show. So what do you think are they hoarding or magically efficient in trash management.

Does anyone know a hoarder or have lived near one? If you haven't seen the show you have to check it out it is mind blowing.

It must be some kind of Jetson's space age compactor to get a weeks worth of trash into a walmart bag. Now that I think about it I have a walmart bag as the liner in my bathroom trash can and its full after a week.......hmmmm the mystery grows.
I don't know. Sounds like they mind THEIR own business Maybe you could learn from them.

There's nothing wrong with being suspicious of those that live around you. If you aren't aware of your surroundings, your neighbors could be running a freaking Al Quaeda training camp. Now if he was following them around, looking through their windows, planting bugs in their house, etc. I'd say yeah man, back off, but I'm all for monitoring your neighbors and surroundings. One can never be too aware of their surroundings.
That sounds fair to me. I'm sure my neighbors are pretty suspicious of my doings; the consant transport of weapons back and forth from next door (my bro's house).

I do mind my own business and didn't state anything to the contrary. Only been on their property long enough to retrieve a wayward ball from the kids playing in my yard. Everything I observed was while mowing my yard or playing outside with my kids.

Just making a simple post about an oddity in the neighborhood.

They've never done anything suspicious that I have seen. Unless you count the time the one son (I assume driving drunk) crashed one night into a guy down the streets garbage bags and dragged every bit of the mans trash up the road via bumper. A clear trail from driveway to driveway, with stuff still hanging off the bumper. So the next morning the down the street guy comes up the road yelling and screaming at the odd peoples house. That was pretty funny actually and again revolves around trash....coincidence? I think not.

You said they don't work and hardly ever go outside....maybe they are poor, and can only afford a small Wal-Mart bag.

Or maybe they have an alligator in their basement they feed table scraps too.....
Maybe then have a tunnel to the other side of town and they take out the garbage at the other end of the tunnel.
Or maybe they have an alligator in their basement they feed table scraps too.....
That would be awesome!! A guy up the street had a cat go missing a while back, probably alligator poop by now.

That's terrible! I hope that poor alligator didn't get a hair ball...
Those people are obviously aliens and should be reported as such without delay. Call the White House and ask for the Alien Sedition Section of Homeland Operations Legislation Enforcement.
Shades of Tom Waite?......Whats he building in there?.....the people have the right to know

The A.S.S.H.O.L.E? That sounds like a very official government agency. Alot of letters to add to the alphabet soup.. LOL
The A.S.S.H.O.L.E?
Obama?

I would never limit you to talking to just one person, there are plenty of others that can fill that role in the White House.
Well that's very true, about 90% of the government falls into that category lol.
90% is a conservative estimate, to say the least;)
