How should I remove these sights ????????????

  1. They are on a 1937 Mosin Nagant and most of the stuff I find online says to remove the pins, I don't see any pins !!!

  2. The front sight should come out with a punch and a hammer as it's an "adjustable" sight. Just tap it to either the left or right and you're good to go.

    The rear sight should be the same way, but it's just a drop in sight. The "pins" don't go all the way through *At least on my MN's they don't* but are just tabs that sit in the holes on the rear sight rail. Tap one side of it out with a small punch and the sight will come off.
     

  3. i want to remove the whole rear sight assembly, is it dove tailed also and will slide forward ?

    I think that rear sight is soldered to the barrel. I may be wrong but thats the way it lookds to me.

    That is a 1937 made between the war years.. Don't mess with it
