I was trying to sharpen the blade (a tanto blade) I got it sharp but took the tanto out of it and the serrations.. Very stupid...

At what point did you realize that a mechanical sharpener would not be a good idea to sharpen a tanto with serrations? I think most of those type grinders say explicitly not for knives with serrations.

they should say, "not for knives you value".

Ouch. Live and learn. The Blur is a good knife, I've had mine since '06, and I bought one with the S30V blade for my son as a high school graduation present in '12. Unfortunately, my son lost his about six months ago.

I didn't know Kershaw did tiger stripes, I would have looked for one of those for my son.

You can send it back to Kershaw and they'll put a new blade on it for $12 or so, at least that's what they told me about my Leek

Hey, if Kershaw will honor a deal like that, I'd go for it, sure is better than buying a new one.
