Finally someone told the arf.com idiots why a simple stock change can't accommodate a double stack magazine  I logged in, but the thread is locked and archived. Due to the aforementioned idiots saying HP is junk. Just a few morons ruins it for the good peeps :p

I am really starting to like how it looks. Maintaining zero top rail worries me though

I'd like to get some irons, or a holo sight like it has and mess around with one
I doubt it will be hard to maintain zero with that arrangement.
Not if they do it right! ;)

No, it auto archived b/c no one posted in that thread for a month. Lots of folks claim HiPoint is junk. Very few HiPointers post groups to prove them wrong.

A Tech Forum discussion of it on ARFCOM:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_2/471645_High_tower_armory_hipoint_carbine_update.html

General Discussion & Tech on ARFCOM are very different animals. The shenanigans of GD are not tolerated in ARFCOM Tech.

How hard is it to change the bbl and bolt on a 9x19mm carbine? B/c it looks like you could get some hi-cap Makarov mags if you could get it to run 9x18mm?

COOL! I Posted there...

Barrel looks like it's just a couple of pins, similar to the pistols... but I did not look specifically at that. Why would you have to change the bolt? Maybe get by with extractor mods, IMO. If that!

I'm not positive, but I thought 9x18mm bolt face was slightly larger than 9x19mm - I could well be mistaken. Where are we gonna come up w/ a 9x18mm HiPoint bbl, however?

 daaang! Okay so its probably best to wait for HTA to come up with their version of high capcity 995 bullpup magazines.. which would probably be far cheaper than those imports... and hopefully on the same level as the Redball mags.....

And if you're only getting 10 rounds out of 'em... not much of a point. If someone made extended double-stack mags, that would be something, but if not...
Since HTA makes their own 10/22 magazines, theres a good chance they may be making a larger/longer version or even say compact but holds 15rd double stacked magazines with the single stack upper portion.. similar to the Mak magazines.... maybe a 30rd extended double into single stack magazine but we have to see how much and if they will be in steel in order to fit the hi point receiver
Edit or a hybrid where theres polymer bottom half and a steel upper half
